Course description
A mystical, rugged extreme triathlon in the Scottish Highlands around Shieldaig. The swim is in a freezing sea loch, followed by a wind-battered bike leg of over 200 km and a high-mountain run across scree and rock. Breathtaking scenery meets utterly unforgiving weather.
Coach tip
The swim is notorious for jellyfish and freezing cold – protect your face with Vaseline.
The bike course is 202 km long and extremely exhausting due to relentless winds.
The mountain run features highly technical terrain (scree and wet rocks). Wear trail shoes with excellent grip.
