Course description
A city marathon through Dresden's baroque old town along the Elbe — past the Semperoper, Frauenkirche and Brühl's Terrace and through the Großer Garten park. A loop through Blasewitz reveals the Loschwitz hillside castles, while over 300 bands line the route to the stadium finish.
Coach tip
Mostly flat along the Elbe, with gentle rises around Loschwitz in the second half — save some energy for them. Enjoy the baroque backdrop and let the 300-plus bands carry you. Hold an even pace on the straight riverside sections all the way to the stadium finish.
