Course description
A marathon through Graz, capital of Styria, with start and finish in front of the Opera House. The two-lap course passes the Schlossberg, the Kunsthaus and the Murinsel through the historic old town. Over 11,000 participants and 40,000 spectators create a great autumn atmosphere along the route.
Coach tip
The two-loop course requires mental strength — the second lap feels more familiar, so use that to your advantage in the closing stages. Largely flat through the old town and good for an even pace. Run the first lap conservatively and step it up later if your legs allow.
