Course description
A half-distance race in the 'land of a thousand hills' around Bad Schönborn in the Kraichgau. After a lake swim comes a rolling bike course with constant ups and downs and no long recovery stretches. The run is hilly and largely shadeless too — a demanding, energy-sapping course.
Coach tip
There are no long recovery stretches on the bike — ride to power rather than speed and don't over-pace the climbs. The rolling, largely shadeless run can get very hot in warm weather: drink early and regularly and cool yourself consistently at the aid stations to avoid overheating.
