Course description
One of France's most atmospheric 70.3 races, in the Vendée. The swim takes place in the channel of the famous Vendée Globe, where there is often a current. The flat bike is fast but very wind-prone. The flat run follows the Remblai boardwalk, loops around Lake Tanchet and briefly onto the beach.
Coach tip
The channel swim often has a current — account for it and swim the line actively. The bike is flat but very windy: ride to power, stay low in your aero position and don't overcook it into headwinds. Use the flat, atmospheric promenade run to hold an even pace to the finish.
