Course description
A prestigious World Championship course on the Côte d'Azur. The swim is in the turquoise Mediterranean at the Plage des Ponchettes, followed by a demanding bike course into the hinterland of the Alpes-Maritimes. The flat run finishes on the famous Promenade des Anglais.
Coach tip
World-class atmosphere, but a serious course. Prepare for long climbs and steep ramps in the hinterland and ration your strength wisely. The technical descents demand full concentration. The flat coastal run is hot and low on shade: drink regularly and cool yourself consistently.
