Course description
Postcard scenery in the Austrian Alps. The swim is in the crystal-clear, drinking-water-quality Lake Zell, followed by a single-loop bike course (around 1,030 metres of climbing) with the tough ascent to the Filzensattel and long descents. The flat run hugs the lakeshore with alpine views.
Coach tip
Steep ramps await on the climb (up to 14%) — pick an easy enough gear and ride the Filzensattel under control. Stay focused on the long descents that follow and conserve energy. The flat lakeside run is fast: this is where you can make up time over the final kilometres.
