Course description
A very fast city course and a personal-best hunt. The swim is in the Alster at Jungfernstieg, followed by a flat two-loop bike through the harbour, past the Speicherstadt and along the dikes of the Vier- und Marschlande. The flat four-loop run circles the Alster.
Coach tip
One of the fastest courses in Europe — ideal for a PB. On the dikes, watch for crosswinds and gusts: ride there under control and low in your aero position. The flat, packed four-loop run around the Alster is motivating; use the crowd to hold an even pace to the finish.
