Course description
A World-Championship-proven course on the Côte d'Azur. The swim is in the Mediterranean, followed by a technically demanding bike into the Maritime Alps hinterland with around 2,400 metres of climbing and the key Col de l'Ecre climb. The flat, hot run follows the Promenade des Anglais.
Coach tip
Practise riding switchbacks and technical descents — here they matter more than pure climbing power. The Col de l'Ecre is the key climb: ration your energy there smartly. The flat run on the Promenade des Anglais is hot and low on shade: drink and cool yourself consistently.
