Course description
A scenic dream, but windy along the Atlantic. The swim is in the sheltered Bay of Cascais (often with jellyfish, 17–19°C), followed by a fast bike along the Riviera, past Guincho beach and including the Estoril Formula 1 circuit. The run follows the coastline with plenty of spectators.
Coach tip
Factor in the Atlantic wind — it can be strong, especially at exposed Guincho, so ride there low and controlled. Jellyfish can appear during the bay swim: stay calm and sight the buoys. The Estoril Formula 1 circuit is a fast highlight of the bike course, so enjoy the smooth tarmac.
