Course description
One of the most beautiful mountain marathons in the world. From Interlaken the route climbs around 1,950 metres via Lauterbrunnen and Wengen to the finish at the Eigergletscher station below the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The turquoise Lake Brienz, mountain villages and alphorns make it unique.
Coach tip
This is not a road race but a true mountain marathon — targeted uphill training is essential. Ration your energy, as the steepest section comes late. Plan for changeable high-mountain weather and keep warm clothing ready at the finish; soak up the once-in-a-lifetime panorama.
