Course description
One of the fastest half marathon courses in the world. The start is in the middle of the Ponte 25 de Abril, then it runs net downhill along the Tagus riverbank to the finish at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos in Belém. If the wind is right, you practically fly — part of the SuperHalfs series.
Coach tip
Don't get too euphoric with the downhill of the first kilometres on the bridge — control your pace to spare your quads. After that it's flat and fast along the river. If the tailwind is right, a PB is on: push through evenly all the way to Belém and the finish.
