Course description
A beautiful marathon from the start on the Champs-Élysées through seven Paris arrondissements. Past the Bastille, the Bois de Vincennes and along the Seine with its tunnels, the course runs to the finish on Avenue Foch. With tunnels and cobblestones, it's not as flat as Berlin.
Coach tip
The Bois de Boulogne at the end is mentally tough — deliberately hold back energy for the final kilometres. The cobblestones and tunnels cost substance: run carefully and evenly through the tunnels. Despite the rolling profile with around 250 metres of climbing, a good time is possible.
