Course description
A legendary scenic run along the Rennsteig in the Thuringian Forest, from Neuhaus am Rennweg to Schmiedefeld. The challenging course leads with plenty of elevation over forest and ridge trails at around 800 m altitude. Part of one of Europe's largest cross-country events with a legendary atmosphere.
Coach tip
Not a road race — trail shoes are recommended, and you should study the elevation profile carefully beforehand. Carry your own fuelling for the long sections. Ration your energy well over the ridge trails and enjoy the famous hospitality at the aid stations along the way.
