Course description
A rolling loop through the Eifel along the Obersee, Urftsee and Rursee, starting and finishing in Einruhr. 370 metres of climbing and a surface that is 70 per cent field and forest track — an end-of-season race for runners who care more about the course than the clock.
Coach tip
Do not expect your road time: 370 metres of climbing and mostly unpaved ground cost considerably more here than a flat city loop.
Run your final weeks on forest and field tracks — the surface loads the foot differently from tarmac.
Early November in the Eifel can be wet and cold; test your shoes and clothing in the rain beforehand.
