Course description
A legendary scenic marathon through the Black Forest near Bräunlingen — since 1968 the world's oldest nature marathon. Around 80% of the course runs over well-maintained forest paths: slightly uphill until about km 21, then slightly downhill. Elevation gain and pure nature define the course.
Coach tip
Not a city marathon — pure nature with elevation. Factor the uphill sections until about km 21 into your pacing and hold back a little there so you can push on the downhill second half. Dress for variable weather, as the forest can feel cool and damp even in October.
