Course description
The half marathon of the Heilbronn Trollinger Marathon shares its first 11 km with the marathon course and climbs through the vineyards to the Haigern near Talheim. There it turns towards Horkheim and returns via Klingenberg and Böckingen to the Frankenstadion. The officially measured course has about 200 m of climbing on paved roads closed to traffic. The race starts at 9:45 am, in 2027 for the first time as early as 25 April.
Coach tip
The first 11 km climb via Flein to the Haigern near Talheim, the highest point, before you turn towards Horkheim. Run the climb by effort rather than pace and save something for the second half via Klingenberg and Böckingen. Build hills into your preparation, as the course has about 200 m of climbing in total.
Starting places are limited, and the organiser expects to sell out before entries close on 8 April 2027. There will then be no late entries either. The race starts at 9:45 am on Badstraße and finishes in the Frankenstadion.
Race day falls earlier than usual in 2027, on 25 April. Your build will therefore land in winter and early spring, so plan your preparation accordingly and expect that it may still be cool at the start.
