Coach tip
In the Neckar you swim out to the turn buoy at km 1.0 and back. Rolling start at 8:15 am, three athletes every 5 seconds — line up honestly by your swim time. The referees decide on wetsuits one hour before the start; in 2026 the Neckar was around 19.5°C. The swim cut-off is 1:10 h.
Two laps with a combined 1,100 m of climbing, which the organiser calls demanding: train long climbs and fast descents, not just flat kilometres, and pace the first lap. Drafting is not allowed. You must finish the swim and bike within 5:30 h.
Four flat run laps with turnarounds along the Neckar to the market square, overall cut-off 8:00 h. Bike check-in is Saturday 2–7 pm or race morning 6:00–7:45 am; race packets on race morning need prior registration by email, so collect yours beforehand. Without a race licence you pay a €25 day licence on top; registration closes on 2 June 2027, and in 2026 it sold out weeks ahead.
